Heritage Open Day

Date(s) - 12 September 2022
1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Whirlow Brook Hall

Displays in Whirlow Brook Hall will show the house over 100 years ago, the early development of the grounds and garden and the Fawcett families who lived there. There will be an illustrated talk by Sue Turner, who has been leading our historical research work, at 14:00 and repeated at 15:30, giving an opportunity to discover more about the lives they led, their connection to James Dixon & Sons and their love of Bugatti cars.

The main site will be free to explore throughout the duration of the event. The talk must be pre-booked which can be done by sending an email to Sue Turner, jsturner2020@btinternet.com. Remember to include your choice of the two times for the talk, 14:00 or 15:30. As of 5 August, the 14:00 talk is almost fully booked but there are plenty of places for 15:30.

This event is supported by the Heritage Open Days. You can read more about their activities at their website.
