Upper car park, Whirlow Brook Park
This is a walk of about 1.5 miles (2.5 km) starting from the upper car park, dropping down to join the main path up the Limb Valley and then turning left to return through the Rough Standhills plantation, where the larch trees were recently felled. The walk may be repeated from time to time and it will be interesting to observe the regeneration of the area.
Sturdy shoes should be worn as the path is a bit rough in places due to tree roots and stones. There are a few stiles. We intend to proceed at a leisurely pace and we should be back at the park in time to enjoy one of FoWP’s excellent Hope Valley ice creams.
Numbers are restricted to 18 including the leader and backmarker. Places should be booked below. Click on the 1 next to “Spaces” to book 2, 3 or 4 spaces. Families are welcome, but no dogs please.
